Biography

MD is the author of The Hidden Corridor and The Darkwell Files, a connected body of work exploring choice, consequence, and the quiet mechanisms that shape human behaviour under pressure.

The Hidden Corridor is an interactive Choose Your Own Adventure–style series that places the reader directly inside the story. Written for younger readers but grounded in serious themes, the series challenges the idea of safe curiosity, asking readers to navigate spaces that respond to observation, intention, and risk. Each path is shaped by the reader’s decisions, reinforcing the idea that choice is never neutral—and that some outcomes cannot be undone.

For adult audiences, The Darkwell Files adopts a more restrained and unsettling approach. Each novel is presented as a reconstructed case: a single incident mismanaged, misunderstood, and ultimately absorbed by the systems meant to contain it. Told through reports, testimony, and fragmented records, the series focuses less on spectacle and more on how rational processes can quietly enable harm. While the entities encountered are extraordinary, the true tension lies in human judgment, institutional inertia, and the language used to justify irreversible decisions.

MD’s stand-alone novels continue these thematic explorations, often centring on characters who believe they are acting responsibly—until the cost of those actions becomes impossible to ignore. Across all formats, MD’s work prioritises atmosphere, moral tension, and psychological realism, favouring implication over explanation and unease over resolution.

Whether interactive or linear, MD’s fiction invites readers to step across thresholds where intention, control, and accountability begin to blur—and to consider not just what they would do, but what they would allow.
